OS Fund

OS Fund is bryan johnson’s deep-tech investment vehicle, created after the braintree exit. Johnson’s site describes it as funding scientist entrepreneurs who engineer atoms, molecules, and organisms across health, agriculture, manufacturing, and environmental care.

Thesis

Chicago Booth reports Johnson established OS Fund with $100M of his own capital to back deep-tech scientist-entrepreneurs “rewriting the operating systems of life.” The fund reflects his post-Braintree question: “How can I help humanity thrive?”

Relationship to later work

OS Fund is the investment/infrastructure predecessor to kernel, blueprint, and dont die. Its language of “operating systems of life” anticipates Blueprint’s body-as-system framing and Don’t Die’s civilization-as-survival-system framing.
